We are very excited to have Liza Matlack bring her high energy Hip Hop class to our school! Liza has been studying and performing many forms of dance for 25 years: West African, Hip-Hop, Haitian, Dunham Technique, Acting, Ballet. She has studied in residency in Guinea West Africa, as well as training in the U.S. under many world-renowned teachers. In 2001 she performed with The 7th Principle African Dance and Theater Company and directed children's theatrical productions in New York City. Locally, she has performed with The Robert Henry Johnson Dance Co. and the Medea Project, The Kendra Kimbourough Dance Ensemble, as well as various independent projects. She strives to give her students a sense of empowerment and responsibility through challenges and support and integrates choreography, dance creation and cultivation of individual style.
