Stapleton Ballet presents Spring Concert 2017
We are thrilled to announce our spring show will be held in the beautiful, expansive James Dunn Theatre on the campus of the College of Marin! The show will consist of a variety of repertory works, including Balanchine's Symphony in C. We look forward to the return of Balanchine© Educator Wilhelmina Frankfurt to help put the finishing touches on Symphony in C. There will be original choreography by Shelley Scott, Virginia Stapleton and Charles Torres. Paquita will be staged by Charles Torres.
The second half of the show will consist of a groundbreaking collaboration with the award-winning White Hill School Band, led by Director Rebecca d'Alessio. The band will be accompanying dancers while they present numerous contemporary original works choreographed by guest artist Cynthia Stanley. Her pieces will include a pentet, "Swing the Moon" with big band favorites such as Rhapsody In Blue, Moonlight Serenade and In the Mood. This collaboration comes at an exciting time for our school, as we prepare to relocate to our expansive new space in summer 2017. We hope you'll make plans to join us for this exciting show!
Saturday March 25 at 7:00 pm and Sunday March 26 at 1:00 pm, at the James Dunn Theatre at the College of Marin. All seating is general.
Tickets are $24 General, $18 Students (18 and under) and Seniors (65 and older)
Please Note: this is the only way to purchase tickets; the COM Box Office is not selling tickets. With only two performances, we are hoping to sell the theatre out, so we strongly suggest advance purchase.
