Our Citizen Artist Program partners with local public schools in Marin County to bring standards-based dance and theatre education into the classroom. We collaborate with teachers and administrators to tailor programming to meet the unique educational and cultural needs of our students. The curriculum aligns with SSPA’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, spans cross-cultural music and dance for students K-12, and meets the California Arts Standards for Dance and Theatre.

Opening Night

Students who have been ignited by our Citizen Artist Program are invited to participate in Opening Night. Opening Night has a mission to support youth who have demonstrated passion for the performing arts and wish to pursue further training. These students will:

• Qualify for full scholarship funding to train on our main campus

• Perform in our annual productions
