Stapleton Youth Theatre Presents: Elf The Musical Jr.
STC will be performing a staged adaptation of the classic holiday film, Elf. Join Santa Claus as he tells the story of a young orphan named Buddy, who accidentally ends up at The North Pole after crawling into Santa’s bag of gifts. This will be a youth musical theater production with joyful elves, cranky New Yorkers, and holiday cheer!

This immersive Musical Theatre training is back for its second year for teens and preteens, and this time as a weekly class! Young actors ages 11+ will be learning skills most useful in becoming a true “Musical Theatre Triple Threat.” This is a full Monday evening of classes beginning with an acting/scenework/audition class, then choreography/movement class with Stapleton Theater Division Director Bella Qureshi (no prior dance experience necessary), and finally moving to specialized vocal training with Liz Whitney (Stapleton’s Oklahoma). Actors in this workshop will learn popular ensemble songs from musicals old and new; complete with staging, choreography, and character work. There will be a final in-studio ‘cabaret-style’ show produced by the actors themselves at the end of Sessions 2 and 4.
